Khalan Hughes is a former marine who is suffering from PTSD and is literally haunted by his past in the form of visions of a fellow soldier killed in Afghanistan named Smokey. Khalan’s guilt over his inability to save Smokey’s life drives his guilt and he vows never again to pick up a gun. This altruism leads Khalan to be shot during a violent protest while trying to save a cop and a protestor. Waking up from a coma as a result of the shooting, Khalan discovers he is in an alternate universe where his wife doesn’t know him and his daughter does not seem to exist. The Time Sentinel is the prelude to an episodic animated series by the same name using a mixture of AI and Unreal Engine.
